The discussions also delved into prospects for collaboration in cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, 6G, and quantum technologies, as well as in sectors like semiconductors, space, and sustainability.
Additionally, a significant aspect of these meetings was the focus on the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both countries deliberated on how this agreement could serve as a catalyst for boosting bilateral trade, attracting investments, and unlocking new business opportunities. The potential FTA is seen as a vital tool in enhancing economic engagement between India and the EU.
These meetings take place against the backdrop of ongoing negotiations between India and the European Union for a comprehensive trade agreement. This initiative aims to solidify economic relations and enhance cooperation across strategic sectors. As discussions continue, both India and Finland remain committed to exploring ways to deepen their economic partnership and leverage new opportunities in the evolving global economic landscape.
